          Throughout the years, I have changed my career path multiple times and each new direction has given me the opportunity to learn something about myself and my purpose in life. As my plans have altered more times than I care to share, the knowledge I have gathered from the paths I've taken is undeniably useful.           Realizing that my current goal is to become an academic advisor, I have formulated a game plan that will help me prepare for this new journey. Alterations can be daunting but creating a general plan of action can make the transition easier to succeed.           Many times in life we face the opportunity to make a choice of which path we want to travel. Sometimes our choices lead to happiness while others make us feel we are walking towards despair. The career and academic choices I've taken have given me a taste of both. It's always easier to realize how much you've grown and learned in a time period once you look to the past.
